Texans Cannot Get A Statewide Referendum Before The Voters - We Don't Have That Right

Remember when California recalled their governor and replaced him with the Governator, or when Arizona passed Proposition 200? We Texans do not have the right to do that even if we wanted to. We do not have the right of Recall, Voter Initiative or the right to get a statewide referendum placed on a ballot. We Texans do not have the power to bypass the corrupt politicians and take action ourselves. Why? This is something that we should be just as angry over as we are about our lack of border security, because the two go corrupt hand in corrupt hand. The corruption in Texas which allows Austin to collaborate with Washington in ramming illegal immigration down our throats, could not exist if we Texans had the right to place a statewide referendum on the ballot to stop it! See this:

http://www.initiativefortexas.org/pharo.html

Do you realize that Iraqis now enjoy more democracy than Texans? It is time for Texans to rise up and stand for their own freedom. I doubt that Bush would stand with us, as we stand for our own freedom, the way he promised the Iranians.

Why Did Bush Allow Russia To Buy 90% Of US Platinum Mines?

This is obviously something that hasn't exactly been well publicized in the Mainstream Media. This would appear to be quite an act of treachery and corruption, but I invite comment and discussion on this.

Bush Betraying Iranian People, Same As Bush 41 Did To Iraqis In '91

Like father, like son. President Bush, after promising to help the Iranian people if they stood for their own liberty, is now betraying them, exactly the way his father betrayed and directly caused the horrible deaths of tens of thousand of Iraqis after the Gulf War in '91. He is also placing Americans in serious peril at the same time. Maybe he is trying to show us that he knows how to multi-task. Here is a quote from Washington based think tank, American Enterprise Institute:

...All this raises some very embarrassing questions for President Bush and his top strategists. We know this is going on, yet we are fighting a purely defensive war in Iraq alone. The Iranians, Syrians, and Saudis have all heard the president say he wants an end to tyranny in the Middle East, because he understands the passionate embrace between the tyrants and the terrorists. The Iranian, Syrian and Saudi terror masters know that those words are aimed at their rule, and they are rightly afraid, afraid that Bush's vision will inspire their own people to become the gravediggers of the old regimes...

Worst of all, from the standpoint of the terror masters, the ultimate threat--freedom--is growing stronger, just as the president wishes, and freedom is spreading even though, despite his constant promises to support democratic revolution, he is doing virtually nothing to help it. He, along with Secretaries Rice and Rumsfeld, has not rallied to the side of the Iranian people, even though the Iranians have abundantly demonstrated their desire to be rid of the mullahs. Two weeks ago there were massive demonstrations and work stoppages in the oil-rich regions, centering around the city of Ahwaz. The demonstrators called for an end to the regime, scores of people were killed, and hundreds were beaten and arrested. On May Day, workers again demonstrated against the regime, this time in all the major cities. In Tehran, strongman and likely president-in-waiting Hashemi Rafsanjani was hooted down by the crowd, and pictures of him and Supreme Leader Khamenei were torn down and trampled. Yet no one in the American Government spoke a word of support for the demonstrators, and no one has yet endorsed the one thing that unites the overwhelming majority of Iranians, whatever their political proclivities: a national referendum on the legitimacy of the regime itself. If there were a national ballot on the single question--Do you want an Islamic republic?--the regime would pass into history overnight. But there is silence in official Washington...

It is long past time for the president to show that he is serious about winning the war against terror; it can't be done by speeches alone, and it doesn't require armed invasion. But it does require action: political action to support and aid the forces of democratic revolution in Iran, Lebanon, Syria, and Saudi Arabia...

We dawdle at our peril, and yet we dawdle.

To continue to say "faster, please" is like spitting into the wind. We're back at September 10, waiting for our enemies to rouse us from our contented torpor...

This One Should Be A No Brainer

Why are our state legislators not doing this? This should be a no brainer, even for the OBSMs (Open Borders Surrender Monkeys). I cannot see why any state legislator, especially in Texas, NM, AZ, and CA, would be opposed to putting pressure on their congressional reps to do this, except that it would make Washington rethink their whole position on illegal immigration.

Taiwan Worried About Illegal Immigration Security Threat

The Taiwanese National Security Bureau (NSB) is worried about the national security threat which would come as a result of illegal immigration. The NSB is the equivalent of Bush's brainstorm, the DHS, with one major exception. The Taiwanese NSB takes national security very seriously, while Bush's DHS is an unmitigated joke. Here is a quote:

Nonetheless, Wang told the legislature, the move would definitely have some impact on Taiwan's national security.

He said that an influx of illegal immigrants from China would contribute to domestic security problems.

Wang said that the bureau was also concerned about the possibility of espionage by visitors from China.

The Taiwanese government has no difficulty whatsoever grasping the danger of illegal immigration with regards to national security. Our own Open Borders Surrender Monkeys should listen carefully to Taiwan, take notes, and try real hard to learn something. And no one can call Taiwan "racists" or "xenophobes" as both they and the illegal aliens are all the same race. This is incontrovertable proof that defending your borders is not about race.  Rep Chris Cannon(R-UT), one of the most flagrant, unashamed Open Borders Surrender Monkeys in the US, resorted yesterday once again to his tired, lame and pathetic tactic of calling Tom Tancredo(R-CO) a racist and a xenophobe, because Tancredo stands firmly for serious border defense. Cannon, especially, should pay close attention to Taiwan. Actually, I feel kind of sorry for Cannon. He is so out of touch with reality, that he still thinks that dog will hunt.

Hold The Phone - Maybe The Props To Kay Bailey Were Hasty

HOUSTON - Well, maybe the props I gave Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison the other day were a bit premature. I received a letter from her yesterday which said:

"..and I am aware of the important contributions our immigrants, past and present, make to  our nation. With this in mind, I believe we should provide appropriate numbers of visas to immigrants who have followed the requirements to attain legal immigration status. However, I believe that granting legal status to those who entered our country illegally would only encourage others to break our laws in the future.."

On the face of it, this seems reasonable, except for a couple of minor technicalities. There are about 6 billion people in the third world trying to enter this country, and not one single time have we ever been able to get one single Open Borders Surrender Monkey to give us any kind of estimate as to what they would consider "appropriate numbers of immigrants" that they want to ram down our throats. We therefore can only conclude logically that they want all 6 billion of them, but don't want to come right out and say that. Here in Houston, I already have been seeing for a long time huge numbers of illegal aliens hanging around street corners every day because they can't get work. Do you think that just maybe that could be an indication that the 20 million that are here in the country might already be JUST A TAD TOO MANY??? GEE DO YA THINK??? And the Open Borders Surrender Monkeys apparently want to solve the problem by raising the visa quotas to equal the numbers that are already coming without visas? Sorry, Senator, but we see the stealthy angle you are trying to take. It was a nice try, though, I must give you credit for that.

Her letter goes on to say:

"I do support the development of a guest worker program which would allow foreign nationals to work in the United States on a seasonal or temporary basis in industries where labor is in critical demand.."

I wrote this across the face of her letter, in my own handwriting, and shot it right back to her Washington office:

"Any worker program with the word 'guest' or 'temporary' in it will become a sham! You and I both know they will end up permanent and we vehemently oppose this. We are more sophisticated on this than Washington realizes! Please visit my blog: TexasRepublicansAgainstBush.Blogs.Com"

I don't know if she'll actually visit my blog or not, but hopefully, even if she doesn't, she'll get the point that her own base is REALLY mad!

The other thing that really irritates me about letters like this, is that to me, the Open Borders Surrender Monkeys appear to be profering this garbage INSTEAD OF, rather than IN ADDITION TO, returning our military to our borders and denying access to all UNAUTHORIZED POINTS OF ENTRY! Even when the Open Borders Surrender Monkeys praise the Minutemen, they still just do not seem to be getting it! It kind of makes you wonder how sincere their praise of the Minutemen really is.

GOOD JOB KAY BAILEY!

TEXAS - Major props to Kay Bailey Hutchison! Too bad my other Texas Senator, John "Open Borders Surrender Monkey" Cornyn, thinks we need AMNESTY to force prospective immigrants to enter the US by first getting their papers in order, and then USING OUR FRONT DOOR! I know that's a totally ridiculous thing to demand, but you know what? The Open Borders Surrender Monkeys are just going to have to start learning to DEAL WITH IT!! TOO BAD!! This is From MichelleMalkin.Com:

"TEXAS SENATOR PRAISES MINUTEMEN
By Bryan Preston   ·   May 02, 2005 12:49 PM

Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison talks up the MMP:

In a speech last night on the Budget Resolution, Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison pointed to the Minuteman Project as underscoring the need for more Border Patrol agents:

"This is not a matter of illegal aliens coming here to work, although that is a major issue in this country. It is a matter of national security."

She's right, and it's significant that she is the one saying this. Hutchison is, as far as Texas Republicanism is concerned, a squishy moderate. She is not a Chafee-class RINO, but she is no Phil Gramm either. Nevertheless, she is sunny and popular around Texas generally and does have solid instincts on most national security issues. My well-connected Texas source says she is positioning herself to run for governor of the Lone Star State, possibly against current governor and fellow Republican Rick Perry, who has consistently underperformed in conservatives' eyes. In lauding the MMP, Hutchison is tacking to Perry's right and signalling that she'll take the border issue seriously. She is also showing where she believes Texas' voters to be--with the Minutemen.

And on that, she is entirely right. The wheels of time spin forward a bit, and Texas could end up becoming the second border state to have a governor who publicly supports the Minutemen (either Hutchison will win or she'll pull her opponents toward her position on the MMP, since that is where the voters are). The two largest states in the lower 48 and the two largest border states--California and Texas--will both be led by Republican Minutemen supporters. Significant? I think so.

MORE: I should add that Hutchison and Schwarzenegger have now also tacked to the right of President Bush on the illegal immigration issue--he called the MinuteMen "vigilantes." On nearly every other issue, they are positioned to the president's left. Someone needs to forward whatever polls Hutchison and Ahnuld are reading to the White House."

Exploding myths - military most certainly can be put on borders!

HOUSTON - The corporate MSM is working hard to spread a lot of treacherous lies and rumors, to muddy up the waters. To me, one of the most damaging, is this absurd notion that it would be unconstitutional or illegal to place US troops on the border, and also that the military lacks the manpower for such a mission. For crying out loud, THAT IS THEIR PRIMARY DUTY! That is the whole reason the US military was formed in the first place - to defend the home soil from foreign invasion! How have things become so twisted? I am dismayed at the numbers of people I am running into who are actually falling for this garbage, and we must work hard to try to "de-program" these people. One of the best sites I have seen for specific info on exactly what assets would be needed for this mission is here:

http://www.g2mil.com/border.htm

In fact, this is such a good site I have made a link to it on my list.

I get angry when I see the Open Borders Treason Monkeys, like Bush and my own Senator Cornyn, claiming that it is an insurmountable task to defend a 1,900 mile border, and then they are not even challenged on that absurd claim. This must stop. I became very upset with Bill O'Reilly the other night because some activist made that ridiculous claim, and Bill not only gave the guy a pass on it, but he actually agreed with the guy! The only person I have seen challenge activists on this absurdity is Lou Dobbs - he is the man! This myth must die! Michelle, maybe you can help us get Fox News to start challenging people on this. La Shawn, maybe you can get MSNBC straightened out on this. We need to start attacking this myth very aggressively.

One fact I have never seen mentioned, on either a blog or the MSM, is that, even though the border with Mexico is 1,900 miles long, vast stretches of it are virtually uncrossable. These are rugged desert areas too vast to cross on foot, and there are no roads for vehicles. It could possibly be done with a caravan of camels, but the last I heard there is a shortage of camels in Mexico. Illegal entry into the US could be radically curtailed by simply bringing enough pressure to bear on those relatively few areas that are crossable, which is exactly what the Minutemen did in AZ. If you will notice, even those illegal entrants who circumvented the Minutemen, had to go many miles east or west of the San Pedro Valley to get to another crossable portion of the border. They must cross within reasonable proximity to a border town, or the degree of difficulty goes up exponentially. We need to somehow make the rest of the world aware of these facts. Some of you bigger bloggers, help me out here please.  The MSM is getting away with murder on this "1,900 mile" myth!

A Letter To My Senator, John Cornyn(R-TX)

April 30, 2005

Dear Senator Cornyn,

Please find enclosed a copy of the letter you sent me the other day as a response to my concern over our alarming lack of security along our borders. Unfortunately, my understanding of your letter is as follows:

"Dear Mr ******,

I am a card carrying member of the Bush/McCain Open Borders Surrender Monkeys. I am receiving a lot of political contributions from businesses that want the tsunami to continue, and to even speed up if possible. I therefore intend to resist and obstruct any and all efforts to return the US military to the border and stop people from entering the US at unauthorized points of entry. I find it totally unreasonable to demand that people get their paperwork in order and then enter our country at one of our many convenient authorized points of entry. After all, if we demanded that, it would automatically solve the problem of needing to distinguish between benign and dangerous immigrants, and then it would not be necessary to ram Bush's guest worker plan down the throats of the American people. As long as we can keep allowing people to enter our country wherever they feel like, then we will need the guest worker program to get them sorted out. Asking people to get their paper work in order, and then using one of our authorized points of entry, would render Bush's guest worker plan totally unnecessary, and that would obstruct our efforts to speed up the flow of the tsunami, and for heaven's sake, we can't have that! In order to speed the tsunami up, it is imperative that we keep all of the unauthorized points of entry free and clear, so that a need will be artificially created for the guest worker plan, which will in turn trigger massive new waves of illegal entry into the US! Don't you see the beauty of this plan?"

Senator Cornyn, here is my response to your letter:

First of all, I am saddened that you would think us conservative Texas Republicans to have such low IQs, as to not be able to see through this "smoke and mirror" game. I realize that we are just poor dumb voters, but we are not that stupid. It was a nice try, though, I have to give you credit for that.

Let's take this one item at a time. You say that our immigration laws should distinguish between benign and dangerous immigrants. On this I agree with you 100%, but the problem with your statement is that it implies that our current immigration laws do not already do this, and that is completely false. I think if you go back and read sections 1324 and 1325 carefully, you will see that these laws already perform that function splendidly. All that is needed is someone with enough of a spine to enforce these laws, like my own congressman, Rep John Culberson. In other words, we already have a fabulous way to distinguish between benign and dangerous immigrants. It is called "get a visa and use our front door" like every other country in the world demands, especially Mexico!

Next, you further state that this will take some kind of a comprehensive immigration policy reform, but again this is only an attempt to make the problem appear a lot more complicated than it really is, as a stall tactic. The Minutemen in AZ have already torpedoed this ridiculous claim, as I knew they would. Again, this does not require the passage of any more laws for Washington to ignore. All it requires, again, is someone like Representative Culberson, with enough integrity and guts to enforce 1324 and 1325. We do not need any more discussion, debate, discourse, or new laws. All we need is the political will to quit pretending that 1324 and 1325 don't exist. As a conservative Texas Republican there is one other thing I would like to ask you: What is conservative, and what is Republican, about our government deciding that it is simply not going to enforce 1324 and 1325? I would submit that there is absolutely nothing conservative OR Republican about a government that picks and chooses which laws it wants to enforce, and which it does not. And please don't try to tell us that these laws are unenforceable, because first of all, that is absolutely not true, (again, see the Minutemen) and second, the American public isn't buying that nonsense anymore, if they ever did. There just is no will to enforce them, and we intend to change that radically beginning in Nov '06!

Senator, it is actually getting to the point where it really no longer matters whether we get Washington's support on border defense or not, because we the people, are already well into the process of simply doing your job for you. Soon there will be thousands of us Texans defending the Rio Grande ourselves, and we won't even need you anymore. It just goes to show, that if you want something done right, you better do it yourself.

However, Senator, there is one thing I do want to ask your help on, as one Texan to another. Once enough of us have established a sufficient presence on the border to drastically curtail illegal entry into Texas, it is my belief that Mexico City will not simply roll over and play dead. It is my firm and absolute belief that Mexico City is so desperate to continue illegal entry into the US, that when they can no longer simply circumvent the Texans, they will without a doubt begin resorting to the use of force. It is my firm belief that we will come under fire from drug smugglers, human traffickers, gangsters and criminals, terrorists, possibly Mexican police/government agents, and possibly even regular Mexican military forces, as well as possibly even Mexican Special Forces, possibly out of uniform, and working covertly. I would rule out nothing from Mexico City. At this time, the Texans will be faced with a decision; surrender like Bush, or respond with superior firepower in order to maintain the defense of the Rio Grande. I think you and I both know the Texans well enough to be able to predict which choice they will make. We hope Mexico City does not decide to bring fires to bear against us, but if they do, we do not fear it. There is one thing we do fear, however. We fear that if we are forced to return fire in order to defend the Rio Grande, President Bush may send in US military air and ground forces to bring fires to bear against the Texans, in support of Mexico City. I beg you, therefore, to please do all in your power to prevent President Bush from interceding on behalf of Mexico City and attacking the Texans. The president says that we currently lack military forces for deployment on our nations borders, however, if we Texans are forced to return fire in self defense, the Mexicans will need a lot of help, and it would not surprise us in the least if President Bush were to suddenly and miraculously discover a couple of combat infantry divisions with which to attack the Texans. I firmly believe that if President Bush can be stopped from helping Mexico City, the Texans will be more than able to hold the Rio Grande secure.

Today's relevance of the Texas Declaration of independence

With this article I want to touch a little on why the Texas Declaration Of Independence is still a relevant, important, and amazing document even today. For a little hint, as you read the Declaration, pay very close attention to the part that describes where the Texans tried to get the rest of Mexico to join them in their efforts to throw out the corrupt Santa Ana regime, keep all of Mexico together, including Texas, California, New Mexico, Arizona, etc, and establish a real democracy for Mexico. It is near the end of the Declaration. Pay close attention to what happened, and how the Texans were forced to make it a war for independence rather than a war for democratic revolution, and think about the "reconquista" crowd blaming everybody except the corrupt Santa Ana, and the Mexican interior who was too scared to join the Texans, for the fact that Mexico no longer holds everything from Texas to California, and then some. The truth, as the Texas Declaration Of Independence shows, is that if the Mexican people would have had the spine to join the Texans (or, back then, they were called the 'Texians'), and if Santa Ana had not been so incredibly corrupt, Mexico would most likely be an intact, gigantic, democracy today. No, the "Reconquista" lobby accuses America of theft of the American Southwest, but in truth, there is no one to blame but the corrupt Santa Ana and the Mexican Sheople of 1836, as is proven in this crucial document. Read it carefully, I promise you, it is worth the time and effort.  Due to Santa Ana's limitless corruption, Mexico was going to lose the American Southwest anyway, if not to America, then to either the French, Russians, or British, who were all planning on taking that area away from Mexico regardless. America ended up purchasing the land from Mexico for 15 million dollars - if any of the European imperialists would have ended up with the land, it is a virtual lock that Mexico wouldn't have ended up with a plug nickel to show for it, let alone the fair market price paid by the US. Either way, due to Santa Ana's corruption, and the Mexican peoples' inability to stop Santa Ana, Mexico was going to lose all that land regardless. (They call it Aztlan now, but that is a make believe, mythical, fairy tale name, as that area was never called by that name). But we will get into all that later.

I have also seen people ask many times about the possibility of the Mexican people of today rising up against the corrupt oppressive regime who's iron boot is on their throats right now. If this document is any indication, then speaking strictly from a historical perspective, the odds of that ever happening are not very encouraging. It would appear that the only way for real democracy to come to Mexico would be for America, and other Western democracies, to bring sufficient pressure to bear on Mexico City, maybe something similar to what was done to Syria in Beirut, but don't anyone hold their breath for Jorge Boosh to try to spread democracy to Mexico, and remove his Mexican Elite Ruling Class Masters from power. No, if Boosh has his way, Washington will remain a de facto puppet government of Mexico City for some time to come.

The Texas Declaration Of Independence

"Texas has yet to learn submission to any oppression, come from what source it may." - Former Tennessee Governor and President of the Republic of Texas Sam Houston.

The Unanimous Declaration of Independence made by the Delegates of the People of Texas in General Convention at the Town of Washington on the 2nd day of March 1836

When a government has ceased to protect the lives, liberty and property of the people, from whom its legitimate powers are derived, and for the advancement of whose happiness it was instituted, and so far from being a guarantee for the enjoyment of those inestimable and inalienable rights, becomes an instrument in the hands of evil rulers for their oppression.

When the Federal Republican Constitution of their country, which they have sworn to support, no longer has a substantial existence, and the whole nature of their government has been forcibly changed, without their consent, from a restricted federative republic, composed of sovereign states, to a consolidated central military despotism, in which every interest is disregarded but that of the army and the priesthood, both the eternal enemies of civil liberty, the everready minions of power, and the usual instruments of tyrants.

When, long after the spirit of the constitution has departed, moderation is at length so far lost by those in power, that even the semblance of freedom is removed, and the forms themselves of the constitution discontinued, and so far from their petitions and remonstrances being regarded, the agents who bear them are thrown into dungeons, and mercenary armies sent forth to force a new government upon them at the point of the bayonet.

When, in consequence of such acts of malfeasance and abdication on the part of the government, anarchy prevails, and civil society is dissolved into its original elements. In such a crisis, the first law of nature, the right of self-preservation, the inherent and inalienable rights of the people to appeal to first principles, and take their political affairs into their own hands in extreme cases, enjoins it as a right towards themselves, and a sacred obligation to their posterity, to abolish such government, and create another in its stead, calculated to rescue them from impending dangers, and to secure their future welfare and happiness.

Nations, as well as individuals, are amenable for their acts to the public opinion of mankind. A statement of a part of our grievances is therefore submitted to an impartial world, in justification of the hazardous but unavoidable step now taken, of severing our political connection with the Mexican people, and assuming an independent attitude among the nations of the earth.

The Mexican government, by its colonization laws, invited and induced the Anglo-American population of Texas to colonize its wilderness under the pledged faith of a written constitution, that they should continue to enjoy that constitutional liberty and republican government to which they had been habituated in the land of their birth, the United States of America.

In this expectation they have been cruelly disappointed, inasmuch as the Mexican nation has acquiesced in the late changes made in the government by General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna, who having overturned the constitution of his country, now offers us the cruel alternative, either to abandon our homes, acquired by so many privations, or submit to the most intolerable of all tyranny, the combined despotism of the sword and the priesthood.

It has sacrificed our welfare to the state of Coahuila, by which our interests have been continually depressed through a jealous and partial course of legislation, carried on at a far distant seat of government, by a hostile majority, in an unknown tongue, and this too, notwithstanding we have petitioned in the humblest terms for the establishment of a separate state government, and have, in accordance with the provisions of the national constitution, presented to the general Congress a republican constitution, which was, without just cause, contemptuously rejected.

It incarcerated in a dungeon, for a long time, one of our citizens, for no other cause but a zealous endeavor to procure the acceptance of our constitution, and the establishment of a state government.

It has failed and refused to secure, on a firm basis, the right of trial by jury, that palladium of civil liberty, and only safe guarantee for the life, liberty, and property of the citizen.

It has failed to establish any public system of education, although possessed of almost boundless resources, (the public domain,) and although it is an axiom in political science, that unless a people are educated and enlightened, it is idle to expect the continuance of civil liberty, or the capacity for self government.

It has suffered the military commandants, stationed among us, to exercise arbitrary acts of oppression and tyranny, thus trampling upon the most sacred rights of the citizens, and rendering the military superior to the civil power.

It has dissolved, by force of arms, the state Congress of Coahuila and Texas, and obliged our representatives to fly for their lives from the seat of government, thus depriving us of the fundamental political right of representation.

It has demanded the surrender of a number of our citizens, and ordered military detachments to seize and carry them into the Interior for trial, in contempt of the civil authorities, and in defiance of the laws and the constitution.

It has made piratical attacks upon our commerce, by commissioning foreign desperadoes, and authorizing them to seize our vessels, and convey the property of our citizens to far distant ports for confiscation.

It denies us the right of worshipping the Almighty according to the dictates of our own conscience, by the support of a national religion, calculated to promote the temporal interest of its human functionaries, rather than the glory of the true and living God.

It has demanded us to deliver up our arms, which are essential to our defence, the rightful property of freemen, and formidable only to tyrannical governments.

It has invaded our country both by sea and by land, with intent to lay waste our territory, and drive us from our homes; and has now a large mercenary army advancing, to carry on against us a war of extermination.

It has, through its emissaries, incited the merciless savage, with the tomahawk and scalping knife, to massacre the inhabitants of our defenseless frontiers.

It hath been, during the whole time of our connection with it, the contemptible sport and victim of successive military revolutions, and hath continually exhibited every characteristic of a weak, corrupt, and tyrannical government.

These, and other grievances, were patiently borne by the people of Texas, until they reached that point at which forbearance ceases to be a virtue. We then took up arms in defence of the national constitution. We appealed to our Mexican brethren for assistance. Our appeal has been made in vain. Though months have elapsed, no sympathetic response has yet been heard from the Interior.

We are, therefore, forced to the melancholy conclusion, that the Mexican people have acquiesced in the destruction of their liberty, and the substitution therefore of a military government; that they are unfit to be free, and incapable of self government.

The necessity of self-preservation, therefore, now decrees our eternal political separation.

We, therefore, the delegates with plenary powers of the people of Texas, in solemn convention assembled, appealing to a candid world for the necessities of our condition, do hereby resolve and declare, that our political connection with the Mexican nation has forever ended, and that the people of Texas do now constitute a free, Sovereign, and independent republic, and are fully invested with all the rights and attributes which properly belong to independent nations; and, conscious of the rectitude of our intentions, we fearlessly and confidently commit the issue to the decision of the Supreme arbiter of the destinies of nations.

Bush In Galveston This Morning

GALVESTON - Jorge Boosh let go of the Saudi Prince's hand long enough to come to Galveston this morning, to push his Social Security plan. I wonder if it made Vicente Fox jealous to see Boosh holding another man's hand yesterday? I thought Boosh already belonged to Fox..? I wonder what Laura thinks of all this.. Hmm..

Actually, Boosh's SS plan may be a good thing, but how can you trust someone who adamantly insists that we are safer today after September 11 with our unprotected borders, than we were before September 11 with our unprotected borders? Anybody who would try to make a claim that stupid has so totally destroyed his own credibility, that if he told me the sky was blue I would have to go verify it.

There were a lot of protesters there this morning, but most of them seemed to be protesting Tom DeLay, who was also there this morning. However, one protester did say that it seemed really stupid of Bush to be so worried about Social Security going broke in 2042, when there won't even BE AN AMERICA IN 2042 IF BUSH DOESN'T SEAL OUR STUPID BORDERS!!

She had a good point, but you can count on Bush to just keep stumping around the country talking about Social Security, while millions of invaders continue to pour across our poor naked borders.

Tancredo for Pres - and John Culberson for VP!

HOUSTON - George Bush seems to have absolutely no idea of how many thousands of Texas Republicans have already withdrawn their support from him, and thrown it behind Congressman Tom Tancredo. This is proof that there is a God in Heaven, because a while back, when Tancredo was at the White House, and he was trying to urge Bush to secure our borders, he was thrown out, and as he was being escorted out the door, Karl Rove told him, "Never darken our doorstep again!" Tancredo was trying to tell Bush that he was alienating his own base, so it would be poetic justice indeed if Bush ends up having to hand the government over to Tancredo in '08.  For anyone who wants our borders defended, and wants to do something, about the single greatest thing you could do would be to go to Congressman Tancredo's website, TeamAmericaPAC.Org, and make a contribution. As a genuine Political Action Committee (PAC), his organization is allowed to help finance the campaigns of other candidates. Tom is finding and financially supporting candidates for congress who will help us get our borders sealed and defended. He also runs radio ads all over the country for things like fighting amnesty. But all this takes money, and our adversaries are HEAVILY funded! So if you want to help, joining Tom's PAC is an excellent start.

This blog would also like to make a case right now for Congressman John Culberson (R-TX) for either VP, or a very high cabinet position. Culberson is on the House Ways and Means Committee, and he has introduced legislation saying that any bureaucrat who will not enforce this nation's immigration laws, will not get a paycheck! He says that bureaucrats don't understand much, but they do understand paychecks! Besides, John Culberson is my own Rep in Congress, and if he were Secretary of State, that would open up his congressional seat and I could run for it! (He he!) He has been one of the few congressmen, along with Tancredo, to have the spine to stand up against the arrogant elitists on the immigration issue, and I am very proud to have him representing my district. There is no way I would ever consider running for that seat as long as he is holding it. Bush should watch him carefully to see how a Texas Republican is SUPPOSED to behave! I think it was Aristotle who said, "If you want to know what virtue is, then watch a virtuous man."

Texas Army Defeats Mexico And Wins Independence!

SAN JACINTO BATTLEGROUND - Yesterday the world famous Battle of San Jacinto was reenacted on the original San Jacinto Battleground, 22 miles east of downtown Houston, as part of the Texas Independence Day celebrations. There were thousands of visitors in attendance from all over the world. There was one gentleman in the Texas Army who traveled all the way from Wales to participate in the battle reenactment.

http://www.sanjacinto-museum.org/About_Us/News_and_Events/2005_Festival/

Visitors could go into the Texas Army camp as well as the Mexican Army camp, and see what they were actually like on the day of the battle. Later in the day, when the Texas Army made their famous charge, and the Mexican combat forces were forced into retreat, there was enough electricity in the air to power Houston for a year. The smells of all the blackpowder smoke, the horses, the tremendous noise of muskets and canons firing everywhere, men screaming, falling, and dying.. It was very dramatic.

Surprisingly, George Bush, loyal Texan that he is, didn't send in the US Air Force to bomb and kill  the Texas Cavalry and prevent Mexico from losing the war again. It was also surprising that Vicente Fox isn't hauling the Texas Army into international court for winning the war again, and it is amazing that the ACLU hasn't filed any lawsuits against the Texas Army for having the temerity to violate the civil rights of the Mexican Cavalry - again..

There was an undeniable feeling in the air that the Texans are eager to play this war out again for real - at the polls in '06 and '08. The tension in the air this year was noticeably thicker than it has ever been, and the anger was aimed squarely at Bush and his Open Borders Surrender Monkeys. Actually, the tension was so thick, the Texans didn't really appear to be in much of a mood to wait for the '06 elections.

Bush Administration Worried About America Being Flooded By Cheap Illegal Foreign Boxer Shorts

TEXAS - Due to pressure from the US textile industry, in what could be termed the 21st century Boxer Rebellion, the Bush administration appears to be taking steps to curb the flood of cheap textiles coming into the country from China, including things like shirts, pants, and underwear. Here is an excerpt:

BEIJING - Challenges loom over Chinese apparel exports as the United States and the European Union seem to be initiating steps to restrict this trade as demands from domestic producers get shriller. While the US government took the first step on Tuesday toward restricting imports of low-priced pants, shirts and underwear from China in response to pressure from its textile industry, the EU's executive commission is scheduled to present on Wednesday a framework for holding back the flood of Chinese textile imports.

http://atimes01.atimes.com/atimes/China/GD07Ad09.html

A large part of the reason China is able to flood the US with such a tidal wave of boxers, is because they are manipulating their currency illegally to keep it from rising against the dollar, so that they can make it easier for China to export goods, and more difficult for the US to export goods to China. Additionally, due to China's institutionalized product piracy, it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to imagine that many of these boxers are probably "fake Fruit of the Looms."

Condi Rice went to Beijing recently to demand that China "stop cheating." The Chinese communist government is so terrified of the pandering Bush, especially in view of his lame response to the US being flooded by a tidal wave of illegal aliens, that they gave Condi a polite but firm, "No."

All of which begs the question, how can Bush say out of one side of his mouth that it's good for the US to be flooded by a tidal wave of illegal foreign nationals and terrorists, who cost taxpayers billions in education, medication, and incarceration, and then say out of the other side of his mouth that it's bad for the US to be flooded by illegal foreign boxer shorts, that don't require schools, hospitals, or prisons, and don't carry suitcase nukes or fly airplanes into buildings?

Bush Calls For Better Border Security!

TEXAS - George Bush has come out against himself, in an apparent bout of schizophrenia, and called for better border security! Unfortunately, it was when he was our governor, the other George Bush.  Here is an excerpt:

When new President Fox swept into Washington this fall, he brought with him the new proposition that the U.S. and Mexico should work toward opening the border completely. Given that there are already 8 million Mexican-born adults living in the U.S. (40 percent of them believed illegal), and roughly 350,000 more coming every year, Fox’s daring proposal took many Americans’ breath away.

American political leaders reacted cautiously. President Clinton, while welcoming the Mexican President effusively, stated that "We have borders, and we have laws that apply to them, and we have to apply them, and so do the Mexicans." Then he added, "But I think over the long run our countries will become more interdependent." Vice President Al Gore praised Fox for his "big ideas, very large ideas," but also rejected the idea of open borders, at least for today. Texas Govenor George W. Bush said he believed that curbs on the entry of illegal aliens should be strengthened, insisting, "We’ve got to do a better job of enforcing our border."

Texas Legislature Wants to "Honor" Bush

TEXAS - Yesterday the Texas House of Representatives overwhelmingly passed a bill to honor Jorge Boosh. http://www.house.state.tx.us/news/release.php?id=1219

This bill will require that "Welcome To Texas" signs along Texas highways be modified to include "Proud to be the home of President George W. Bush," by 2006. I wonder how many millions of dollars that will cost the Texas taxpayers. It would seem to me that that money would be better spent on, oh, I don't know.. How about maybe the Texas education system, which is COLLAPSING financially under the burden of the very illegal immigration that Jorge Boosh insists on ramming down Texas' throats! Where does the insanity end?

I loved this line: " Although the Legislature has been working diligently to address the major issues in Texas, such as school finance reform and Worker's Compensation, I am glad that we took a brief pause to commemorate and honor our President," Paxton said.

Let me make sure I have this right. They took a brief pause from their hard work of addressing school finance reform, to commemorate  the person who caused them to have to do all that work in the first place, by SWAMPING the school system with the children of illegal aliens! How absurd is that? That would be about like someone vandalizing my house, then in the middle of repairing the damage, I take a break long enough to commemorate the vandal. Only in Texas..

This morning I called my state representative and senator, and expressed my displeasure at this seemingly insignificant bill. I urge all Texans, especially Republicans, to contact your state senators and tell them not to support this bill, due to Bush's criminal stance on border insecurity. It is true that this bill is tactically meaningless, but it has the potential to be a strategic bombshell, for those of us who want our borders secured. Do you know what kind of shock waves would go through Washington if Texas Republicans were to try to derail a bill meant to honor a Texas Republican president? Does anybody grasp the power of the message that would send? You can go here to find the contact info on your Texas senators:

http://www.capitol.state.tx.us/

For any Texan who wants secure borders, and is frustrated because you don't know what you can do, this is a chance for you to strike a HUGE blow.. Even if we don't stop the bill, just the resistance will send shock waves.
